My teachers have always been the source of my inspiration to improve my craft. If I had to choose one of my favorite pianists of the past century, it would have to be Martha Argerich.
I love Bach and playing anything composed by Franz Liszt.
Benjamin Gamze is a native of Northbrook, Illinois. Mr. Gamze has performed internationally throughout North America and Europe, and he teaches private piano lessons to children at the pre-kindergarten through twelfth grade levels as well as adults. Benjamin Gamze attended the 2017 Dublin International Piano Festival, the Orford Music Academy in Quebec, the 2019 Porto International Piano Festival, and the Gijón International Piano Festival in Asturias, Spain. He has performed in the public masterclasses of Gabriel Baldocci, Sara Davis Buechner, and Anton Nel and other classical pianists. Repertoire ranges from baroque music to late Debussy and Prokofiev, but Années de Pèlerinage, French for "Years of Pilgrimage", by the Hungarian virtuoso, Franz Liszt always holds a special place in Mr. Gamze's recitals.
Benjamin Gamze holds his Bachelors and Masters Degrees in Piano Performance from the Jacobs School of Music at Indiana University. He completed his training with the Belgian concert pianist, Evelyne Brancart and his major teachers include pianist, Susan Chou and composer-pianist, Émile Naoumoff. In his free time, Ben is an avid runner and enjoys cooking.
